16th Asian Games Official "Mascots in Motion" unveiled

The Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) today unveiled the Games Official "Mascots in Motion", dynamic cartoon illustrations of the Asian Games' sports and disciplines with sporting images of the 5 Yang (羊, legendary/celestial goat) - A Xiang, A He, A Ru, A Yi and Le Yangyang.

The "Mascots in Motion" with lively and active cartoon images embody the passionate sport spirit of the Games.

With various facial expressions, the 16th Asian Games' "Mascots in Motion" are illustrated in competition at each of the 28 Summer Olympic disciplines as well as the numerous non-Olympic sports that will be challenged during the 16th Asian Games in 2010, including Baseball, Softball, Bowling, Dragon Boat Racing and Cricket.

The 5 Yang brings "to life" the Asian Games' messages of prosperity, delight, friendship and harmony to the whole world, manifested in the colourful animated "Mascots in Motion".

The 5 Yang are shown in the five colours of the Olympic Games: Blue, Yellow, Black, Green and Red.

As part of the stunning visual image system of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, the "Mascots in Motion" will be widely used throughout the Games' promotion, marketing and Image & Look project to create vivid and unique images for the Games.
