"The Greatest Love" Manager Hinting at Dokko Jin's Survival?

Last week, MBC's "The Greatest Love" ended with one of the biggest cliffhangers in kdrama history. Viewers were left with the "will he [Dokko Jin (Cha Seung Won)] live or die" though as doctors opened his heart for the second time. However, Dokko Jin's manager, Kim Jae Suk (Lim Jee Gyu), uploaded a photo that gave hope to the drama's fans. On June 20th around 2:30PM KST, he tweeted, "Still filming. At Incheon International Airport," along with a photo of himself at the almost empty airport.

Netizens commented, "If his manager is at the airport, Dokko Jin must have survived," "Dokko is safe!" and "Did Gu Ae Jung (Gong Hyo Jin) also go?" Earlier today, "The Greatest Love's" official homepage posted a written preview of the upcoming episode. It stated that Dokko Jin survived his heart surgery and went abroad to recover.

B2ST to perform on ‘MTV World Stage’ as Korea’s representatives

Cube Entertainment has just revealed that B2ST will perform as Korea's representative artists at MTV's "World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 (WSLIM 2011)".

The event will take place on July 24th at Malaysia's Shah Alam i-City. The boys plan to captivate the crowd with a fantastic performance and bold stage presence. They'll also be performing alongside many world-famous musicians, like American rock band, Thirty Seconds To Mars.

B2ST commented, "We're happy that we are going to Malaysia to perform on stage with world-famous artists. Many people from around the globe watch and listen to B2ST through YouTube, but we're excited to get our live performance broadcasted all over the world."

B2ST is the only Korean artist to be invited this year, and is the second Korean artist - following the Wonder Girls - to ever perform on MTV's "World Stage". It's a dream come true for Malaysian fans as well, since B2ST will host a fan-meet tour in the country prior to performing to MTV.

The addition of B2ST to the event line-up sheds light to the rapidly growing K-pop phenomenon that is gaining popularity not only in Asia, but in Europe and South America as well. "WSLIM 2011" will be broadcasted in 160 countries, and viewers from around the world will be able to watch B2ST's performance as well as their behind-the-scenes footage.

B2ST will officially kick off their overseas promotions starting with their Malaysia fan-meet tour on July 1st, after which they'll head for Japan to promote their second Japanese single, "Bad Girl".

BEAST Comments on Rivalry with 2PM and Big Bang

In a recent interview with E Daily, BEAST talked about their honest feelings regarding competition and the direction of the careers, and surprisingly, they don't see themselves at the level others do. Due to their recent streak of wins on music shows and their meteoric rise this past year, there is a lot of buzz about the group being comparable to 2PM or even Big Bang.

This is what BEAST said about their honest feelings towards their careers right now and the comparison.

"We've been really happy lately, and have even begun wondering whether we've ever received such love since our debut. A lot of people compare us to Big Bang and 2PM and say that we're at the height of our fame. Although we feel good hearing that, it's also scary. We honestly think that it's too early for us to hear such praise. If we're already at the height of our fame, then there's no way to got but down. We still think we have a long road left and promise to work hard at everything as if it was our first time."

Will Big Bang's Daesung be in Attendance for LG's Big Mini Concert?

Big Bang is no stranger to having a connection with Korean electronics company LG as they have endorsed the brand many times in the past. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that they have been invited to perform on June 25th at the LG Optimus Big Mini Concert. The concert is to be held at the Platoon Kunsthalle in Seoul and Big Bang is the headliner -- with the word "Big" in the title, could you except anyone else? The slogan for the concert they are advertising is, "Join LG Optimus' Big event!" After the recent unfortunate event, with Big Bang on the billing it brings the question whether Daesung will be joining his fellow groupmates for this performance to the public's attention.

As for Daesung, a statement was made by the concert's organizer on the 20th regarding the matter, to which he said, " We still have not yet received the definitive answer from Daesung's company that whether he will appear in the show or not. From the position of the organizer, it is difficult for him to take part in the concert because the report is still not released. On the other hand, we are still waiting for the answer from his company."

It certainly is a difficult situation to be in. Perhaps it may be best if Daesung were to sit out this performance, as it still may be too soon. Though for himself and the fans it would be great to see him out, going about his daily life, and smiling again.
