It was bad day for Thailand's team after from their five representatives in the quarter-finals of YONEX OCBC US Open Grand Prix Gold 2011 just Ratchanok Inthanon that can made it for semi-finals place.
Seventh seeds Rachanok gave the first good impression after beating fourth seeds of China, Li Xuerui, 23-21, 21-18 in 45 minutes. But, it just the only win game of Thailand's team. Mixed doubles, Sudket Prapakamol-Saralee Thoungthongkam started bad perform of Thailand. The top seeds stunned by Taipei's Chen Hung Ling-Cheng Wen Hsing just in straight-game, 12-21, 16-21.
The other three representatives also lost, and actually all were defeated by Japanese. In women's doubles, Duanganong Arookesorn-Kunchala Voravichitchaikul could not reach their best performance while faced Miyuki Maeda-Satoko Suetsuna and lost by 11-21, 12-21. Sho Sasaki of Japan continued their travels in the YONEX OCBC US Open Grand Prix Gold 2011 by sent out fourth seeds Boonsak Ponsana, 10-21, 15-21. Lastly, in women's singles, Porntip Buranaprasertsuk lost from Eriko Hirose, 19-21, 22-20.
