Badminton targeted to get four gold medals on 26th SEA Games which will be held at Jakarta and Palembang from November 11, 2011.
"From Minister of Youth and Sport was targeted four gold medals," said The Chairman of Indonesia Badminton Association (PB PBSI) Djoko Santoso on the signature MoU of sponsorship between PT Pertamina and PBSI at Pelatnas Cipayung, Jakarta, Thursday (9/6/11). That target is same as the total amount of gold medals that Indonesia got from SEA Games 2009 by men's team, Simon Santoso, Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan and Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir.
"This help will be very advantageous on developing badminton in Indonesia especially for preparation of SEA Games. I hope no end for the help," Djoko explained about that 2 million IDR helps. He said, a half of that will use for preparation National Exercising (Pelatnas) and help National Circuit on many regions. That preparation, added Djoko, included of joining tournaments inside and outside country. "Hoping all players on healthy condition," he said.
Now, according to the Chief of Development Achievements PB PBSI Hadi Nazri, the amount of players which prepared for SEA Games still 200 percents, or twice of the main team. "All the best players (from inside or outside of Pelatnas) prepared for that," he said.
Meanwhile, Secretary of Pertamina Corporation Hari Karyuliarto said, it's natural for that oil mining, earth and gas company to helps building the sport especially badminton according to the government appeal to the state-owned companies (BUMN). "With this support, we hope PBSI can bring the name of nation in international world," he said.
