Comment: SNSD finally moves up to No. 1 this week with "Hoot". Asia’s number one girl group, SNSD makes a surprise comeback with a new mini album, “Hoot.” The girls have been quite busy this year promoting their second album with songs, “Oh” and “Run Devil Run” and debuting in Japan. The title track of the new album is “Hoot,” which showcases their upgraded vocals and emotions. SNSD joins 2AM (who they surpass this week) as the only artists in 2010 to score three No. 1 songs on our chart. Congratulations.

Comment: Lee Ki Chan debuted as a singer when he was still in high school. In 1996, Lee took part in a talent contest held during a radio show and won the grand prize. Since then, Lee has developed his career as a professional singer and become one of the very few Korean singers who has released more than 10 albums. One of Lee's biggest hit is "Love Has Left Again", the title song of his 5th album in 2001. This ballad was written by none other than Park Jin Young (JYP). It became a No. 1 song for Lee Ki Chan and perhaps a song that paves to his future successes. Since the release of this song, many of Lee's follow up albums and singles went on to become chart topping hits. "Love Has Left Again" was also remade last year by WAX.

Venues of 2nd Asian Beach Games 2010

WHERE IT ALL TAKES PLACE


In November 2007 the Al-Musannah Sports City project began…

AL-MUSANNAH SPORTS CITY
At the heart of the 2nd Asian Beach Games Muscat 2010 lies the one-million sq m Al-Musannah Sports City. The purpose built facility is planned for completion in October 2010 and is located 125km north of Muscat.

Al-Musannah Sports City features a four-star hotel, serviced apartments, an events plaza, an Athletes’ Village, a range of retail and restaurant facilities, and a 400-berth marina. In addition, MABGOC will provide a hub for the Games to be seen internationally with the construction of the Games Command Centre, Information Technology Control Centre, and International Broadcast Centre enabling media to share the beach action with the world.

MUSCAT
Various local beaches in the Muscat City area will host competition venues. Additionally, various non-competition venues showcasing cultural events and activities will be located in Muscat.

The Sports of 2nd Asian Beach Games 2010 : Beach Waterpolo

BEACH WATERPOLO

An athlete’s strength and aquatic skills are put to the test in this team sport returning to the Asian Beach Games calendar in 2010. Team Kazakhstan proved its might in Bali 2008 swimming away with the gold!

Sanctioned by the Federation Internatinale De Natation (FINA), Asia Swimming Federation (AASF), and the Oman Swimming Association (OSA), the single event on the competition schedule will be the Men’s Team Event.

Waterpolo, with a history dating back over 100 years, has evolved over time in altering in the techniques used and rules followed. One thing has stayed the same, however, which is the high-energy action whereby teams score points by shooting a ball into the opposition’s net.

The Sports of 2nd Asian Beach Games 2010 : Beach Volleyball

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Making its Summer Olympic debut in Atlanta 1996, beach volleyball has been a popular sport since the 1920s. Originally played to give bored surfers something to do when the surf was down, the game quickly grew in recognition and is now a regular sight on some of the most famous beaches in the world.

Indonesia and Thailand took home gold for their countries in the men’s and women’s events respectively.

Sanctioned by the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) and the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) both men’s and women’s teams will compete at Muscat 2010.
